Hi friends! I’m just wrapping up a great vacation at home. I barely created any hobby content, and I watched even less. Back at it today.
Several years back I bought a handful of Shohei Ohtani cards. Most of them were already PSA 10, and one was raw that I had graded a 10 by PSA.
They were all base cards. Nothing outrageous. The most expensive one cost me $180.
That‘s the one I sold last week. After fees, I made $975. Almost $800 profit (pre-tax, of course) on a base card I’d owned for 2.5 years.
I sold the rest of them between last summer and this past spring.
I’ll do a video this week where I talk through the thought process and how much I bought and sold each for.

I won’t buy wax, but these are smart additions as Topps tries to woo vintage collectors.

🗣️ YouTube Comment Of The Week
Comments have been rough lately! I’m always thankful for my regular commenters who are awesome.

🎬 Channel Highlights From the Past Week
Not much on my channel, if we’re being honest. But I had this fun conversation with JT’s Vintage Card Room. And I was “sitting in” on Sports Cards Live for 2+ hours, which was a fantastic time.
🎁 My Pickup Of The Week
Shhhhh… top secret. I assume it‘ll go to PSA for authentication and I’ll receive it in a couple weeks:

👻 Brief Horror Movie Review of the Week
I binge-watched all eight episodes of the new Friday the 13th tv series, Crystal Lake. It was pretty much as good as the first season of the Carrie tv series, but definitely a lot more horror. The backstory of Jason and his family was fantastic.
5/5 stars
The Empty Man: I actually caught the opening scene of this on Instagram and it was such a great scene. I went and watched the movie and was so disappointed. The opening scene was a lie, basically. The rest of the movie was completely different, and very slow and confusing.
