Nolan Ryan Rookie Card Update

I recently published a video where I showed a 1968 Topps Nolan Ryan / Jerry Koosman rookie card that I purchased.

At the time, it was encased in a CSG slab, and I intended to crack it out and send it to Nolan Ryan’s foundation to be autographed. Then I was going to send it to PSA for card and autograph authentication and grading.

In the video, I asked for viewers’ feedback. What would you do? Several people suggested sending it to Koosman first. I honestly hadn’t considered it!

Thanks to some assistance from my friend Kevin, I managed to successfully and safely (and surprisingly easily) crack it from that CSG case:

And on Tuesday it was mailed to Koosman’s address along with his $10 fee.

Go big or go home.
